back in the groove after the Derby mini and starting to fully gear up for tri-training for June 13th race. Had an excellent pool workout this week despite missing my Tuesday training swim. The O-boro BBQ run is this weekend and I;m going to run while pushing Hadley in a running stroller and Samantha and Maggie Beth are doing the 5K walk....I;m still gonna try and run as fast as I can with the stroller!

Love that the family is getting in the game with you. That's a great example for the kids and for the spectators. I'll tell you what I told Dino...don't push it too hard, too fast. What you guys put your bodies through at the Derby race is still doing things to your body that you can't feel. Just trust me...it's still repairing itself. Your workouts need to be easy so the body can absorb them. If you go too hard too quickly, your training sessions are wasted. Your body won't get stronger because it's still trying to repair and you won't let it.
Your training sessions may be short on volume, but sprint triathlon training has a lot of anaerobic work. A sprint race is redline from beginning to end. Speed work is something you'll want to get back into slowly. You'll still have enough fitness from the half marathon that you won't put yourself behind. The bike is an excellent way to get the legs going again. It's less stressful.
OK, enough of being Uncle Karlie. I just don't want you guys to get hurt and waste your training sessions. We sacrifice too much to waste our valuable time!
